Electrical Test Procedure (ATP) Engineer 4

Candidate will perform the duties of an Electrical Engineer foracceptance test procedure(ATP) development, release, and support of test execution. Responsibilities will include subsystems analysis, test method selection, test planning, test equipment integration, test procedure development and maintenance, test setup conceptualizationand execution, test data acquisition and analysis, and test reporting. Additionally, candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to junior ATP engineers, reviewing test procedures written by peers and offering feedback and suggestions, acting as a subject matter expert in the area of aircraft electrical system testing procedures, processes, and standard practices, presenting to leadership on occasion, performing the duties of this position with a high degree of independence, andassisting other test engineers in the performance of test failure troubleshooting and corrective action.

A successful applicant will demonstrate extensive knowledge of electrical subsystem testing, test requirements, automated wire harness testing, RF cable testing, fiber optic cable testing, and testing of various other types of cables used in the aerospace industry. Candidate must be able to work closely with engineers of the same and other disciplines, project leaders, and technicians supporting production line. Mustwork effectivelywithin difficult schedules andtime/budget constraints.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. inElectrical Engineering or other Bachelor of Science degree with equivalent experience in support of aircraft electrical subsystem designor test
  • Minimum of 9 years experience in research, development, design,or test of aerospace electrical systems, components, equipment,or networks(7 years acceptable with job-related Masters degree)
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • At least 1 year experienceusingMicrosoft Office Suite
  • Strong technical writing skillswith at least 1 year experience developing technical work instructions
  • At least 1 year experience developing and reading wire schematic diagrams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • All basic qualifications satisfied, plus:
  • Experience designingin Unigraphics NXand HarnesSys
  • Experience using CPLM/TeamCenter or other equivalent Product Lifecycle Management tool
  • Experience working with MES
  • Experience in the use of a CKT automated wire harness tester machine, or equivalent (DITMCO)
  • Knowledge ofprogramming an automated wire harness tester
  • Experience working with D38999-type electrical connectors
  • Experience mentoring junior electrical engineers in electrical system test practices and procedures
