The Challenge:

That knowledge is key when it comes to designing, building, and maintaining the power system for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to support FAA power services in the maintenance of the critical NAS power system.

Our team supports infrastructure and environmental programs across the federal government. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer, that is able support critical power infrastructure. You Have:

-10+ years of experience in ensuring project compliance with federal and state electrical regulations and consensus standards

-Experience with conducting technical site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards

-Experience with authoring technical reports to be distributed to various levels of management in an organization and to external stakeholders
-Experience with reviewing design drawings and specifications and making electrical assessments and recommendations
-Ability to apply and interpret federal regulations and consensus standards, communicate them to a broad audience of federal clients, and incorporate them into program drawings and plans

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Electrical Engineering

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with FAA power or electrical work

-Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, and 110

-Knowledge of NEMA, IEC, and UL standards

-Knowledge of the IEEE Power Color Book Series

-Knowledge of EPRI

-Knowledge of RS Means and Master Specs

-Knowledge of ANSI Standards

-Knowledge of NFPA 70E Arc Flash calculations

-Knowledge of 3 Phase Symmetrical Components: Positive Negative and Zero Sequence

-Knowledge of stability of Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) on soft sources, including EG

-Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier configurations

-Active DHS Suitability clearance

-MA or MS degree preferred

-Professional Engineer (PE) License
