Electrical Engineer

ECS is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in our Norman, OK office.  

Job Description:

ECS is seeking an Electrical Engineer who actively participates in the lifecycle of new or modified mail processing equipment from research, testing & analysis, design, installation, and operation. Supports the resolution of complex engineering problems requiring ingenuity and innovation to eliminate root cause of problem. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals

  • Performs hardware and software design activities including: system architecture, component selection, schematic layout, troubleshooting, compliance testing and documentation, and maintenance support
  • Evaluates industrial type control systems & equipment; including PLCs, networks, power control, safety control, and subsystem interfaces / interconnectivity.
  • Utilize data collecting, monitoring, and analytics tools and techniques
  • Performs testing, evaluating, modifying, and retesting activities
  • Utilizes recognized industry standards (IEEE, NEC, NFPA, IECC), policies, and procedures to ensure to ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Participates in engineering design review, verifications, and validations

Reviews reports of operation, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.

Required Skills:

  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder and must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in industrial controls, aerospace, or similar complexity environment
  • Computer Experience: MS Office, CAD system(s), analytics software

Desired Skills:

  • Process Improvement experience using Six Sigma DMAIC
  • Software or engineering Lifecycle support experience
