Position Summary:
At Jacobs our Electrical engineers provide a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design. Our skills include power system planning, power distribution, lighting design, fire and life safety systems, vertical transportation and construction coordination.

Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to support local tenant renovation/move/add/change projects. Projects are small to medium in size with quick turnaround. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls
Prepare load analysis for different stages of design
Prepare drawings detailing the system designed
Prepare basis of design report for the project
Prepare and document Energy compliance calculations and forms
Select equipment and fixtures for use in the building
Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Bachelor Degree in Architectural Engineering (BSAE)
  • EIT is required required; PE is preferred
  • Proof of US Citizenship is required
  • Secret Security Clearance is preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working for a MEP firm is required
  • Experience in Revit, 3D CADD is preferred
  • Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork is preferred
  • Experience working on data center, power, VPS systems, generator systems and medium voltage distribution projects is preferred
