Electrical Engineer

Job Number: R0062202

Electrical Engineer

The Challenge:

What if you could use your engineering skills to transform research and development for aircraft instrumentation? As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to designing, developing, modifying, testing, and evaluating complex hardware devices and systems. We’re looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to provide dedicated onsite electrical design and integration of aircraft modification equipment, including support for government quality assurance inspections for flight readiness.

You’ll be developing and processing modification work statements and instrumentation design requirements by attending test planning meetings and performing preliminary planning via e-mail and telephone calls, including supporting government engineering personnel with installation considerations for the system electrical components, such as accessibility, maintainability, component selection, and application of maintenance guidance and practices associated with airworthiness and safety for military air vehicles. You’ll be preparing all necessary forms and making measurements and sketches during layout and installation, coordinating packages to ensure readiness of all drawings, documentation, and materials for aircraft modification, and providing design engineering support of mod installations. Our team supports the government with design, documentation and performance of engineering checks, including form-fit, functional, and electrical checks of installed systems and the scheduling, conduct, and response to quality assurance (QA) inspections performed by government QA personnel, including electromagnetic interference (EMI) checks. That’s why we need you, an electrical engineer, with experience in applicable hardware integration to help us integrate the latest technology aircraft instrumentation. You’ll be working with systems engineers and will directly impact testing on aircraft instrumentation design by providing assistance, consultation, and direction for updating designs to reflect engineering changes to installation drawings. We’ll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring. Join us and take on exciting challenges in testing aircraft and other instrumentation design as we support DoD weapons testing.

Empower change with us.
