Parsons is seeking an Intermediate Cyber Assessment Analyst to provide systems engineering technical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) – System Assessment (DE/EEA) by contributing to MDA/EEA cyber security assessment planning and test requirements development.  The selected candidate will help develop and maintain documentation of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMDS) cyber security mission risk assessments, capability and limitation findings, assessment plans, and assessment requirements.  Position may require occasional travel. 


  • Participate in the development of Cyber Security Assessment Plans for system-level assessments
  • Review BMDS and element specifications and design descriptions, operational and developmental cyber testing needs for inputs to the Cyber Security Assessment Plan and Assessment Requirements.
  • Assist in planning, preparation, and status reporting for Operational Capacity Baseline decision briefings as needed. 
  • Maintain BMDS Cybersecurity Capability and Limitation findings and recommendations in the START Database
  • Participate in the cybersecurity assessment requirements process, reviewing Assessment Plans and draft requirements and conditions.
  • Coordinate assessment requirements with assessment stakeholders and element program offices.
  • Assist with mapping mission to infrastructure processes for systems under test.
  • Provide input to technical briefings and reports to Senior Leadership.
  • Activities include: Check Cyber Security Assessment Requirements for appropriately defined test conditions and cyber threats to be used for scenario design
  • Participate in technical reviews and scenario design
  • Generate Status Reports and Meeting Minutes.
  • Supporting Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and TIM Reporting

Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • BS degree and typically 15+ years of related professional experience. An advanced degree may be preferred at this level.
  • Working knowledge of cyber security threat environment and network cyber security mitigation procedures
  • Working knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.

Desired Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Experience in command and control systems or complex network systems
  • Experience in the development, implementation, or analysis of military command and control systems
  • Understanding MDA Systems Engineering practices and processes
  • Familiarity with computer network drawings and engineering documentation.
