EEA Advanced Cyber Security Assessment Analyst

Provide systems engineering technical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) – System Assessment (DE/EEA) by identifying and resolving complex
problems crossing organizational boundaries, as well as promulgating solutions. Support MDA/EEA cyber security assessment planning, test requirements development, consequence analysis, and assessment reporting. Position may require occasional travel.
  • Review BMDS network and element software designs and develop cyber assessment plans to support potential fielding decisions for BMDS hardware and software upgrades
  • Coordinate with BMDS element program offices to acquire software design and system diagrams, flow diagrams, processes and safety data to assist in planning cyber assessments.
  • Evaluate BMDS network plans and configurations, identify choke points and access vectors, knowledgeable in network security to the device level, and identify plausible cyber methods for exploiting the BMDS.
  • Diagram infrastructure and process flow for each mission to determine critical conditions for cyber assessment
  • Prepare cybersecurity assessment requirements by identifying critical assessment conditions, cyber threats, and key test points.
  • Assist with mapping mission to infrastructure for systems under test.
  • Identify needs of internal and external stakeholders and address their concerns in cooperation with coworkers.
  • Develop and present technical briefings and reports to Senior Leadership.
  • Activities include:
    • Prepare and coordinate Cyber Security Assessment Requirements defining and test conditions and cyber threats for assessment
    • Attend and participate in the CORE team for Cyber Visums.
    • Generate Status Reports and Meeting Minutes.
    • Identify and articulate Courses of Action (COAs),
      Contingency Plans; Implementation Plans, Audit Responses, and Action Item file responses.
    • Supporting Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and TIM Reporting.
Required Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
  • 7+ years’ experience in cyber threat assessment & network cyber security mitigation procedures to device level
  • Experience supporting
    the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS)
  • Demonstrated complex systems problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and provide briefings and status updates to Executive-level Management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
Desired Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
  • Understanding MDA Systems Engineering practices and processes
  • In-depth understanding of operational C2BMC and operator TTPs
  • Familiarity with BMDS-level documentation (e.g. BMD System Description Document (BMD SDD), BMD System Specification (BMD SS), etc.)

Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
