eDiscovery Processing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Management:  Manages a team of litigation support professionals supporting a government client.  Coordinates ticketing of electronic discovery, processing, and outgoing production requests, ensures that SLAs are met, and QCs the team’s output.
  • Scheduling:  Creates project timetables and delegates tasks to ensure that assignments are completed on schedule. Advises customer on estimated project completion dates and milestones.
  • Server management:  Manages health of server environment hosting Relativity, Brainspace, Nexidia, and LAW PreDiscovery databases and their associated file shares.  Resolves alerts and issues when they arise. Monitors performance, storage reports, and error logs. Configures storage schema to accommodate current and future needs for file repositories, search indexes, and work product.
  • Application management:  Oversees and performs application installations and upgrades, including Relativity, Brainspace, CaseMap, LAW PreDiscovery, and Sanction. Coordinates with infrastructure personnel to ensure that pre-requisites are met and to minimize disruption to users. Works closely with software vendors for preparation and issue troubleshooting.
  • Reporting:  Creates, maintains, and presents processing statistics and reports. Runs weekly reports as well as adhoc reports upon customer request. Creates charts and visuals for use in customer presentations.
  • Processing:  Utilizes LAW PreDiscovery and Relativity Processing to process data for litigation databases, including Relativity, Brainspace, CaseMap, Nexidia, and Sanction. Advises on database specifications including field types, views, custom searches, user permissions, and indexing strategy.  Create, revise, and document the processing workflow to adhere to changes in customer requirements, application capabilities, and new incoming data types.
  • Archiving:  Archives inactive databases and associated externally-linked files. Recall archived databases when requested.
  • Testing:  Develops testing plans and tests database applications on various platforms during software upgrades and operating system maintenance. Maintains a procedures knowledge base on a SharePoint site.
  • Consulting:  Advises on electronic discovery workflow encompassing each portion of the EDRM.  Coordinates with other teams to ensure that the team’s processes from start to finish are documented, repeatable, and defensible.
  • Training:  Trains new employees in Relativity and LAW processing and internal procedures. Ensures team member compliance with CACI and government requirements. Creates yearly goals for team members and performs performance reviews.
  • Recruit and hire new employees when needed.

Required Skills:

Working knowledge of Relativity.

Familiarity with all aspects of eDiscovery.

  • Strong background in support of litigation database software, focused on Relativity.
  • Experience processing litigation data with LAW PreDiscovery or Relativity.
  • Experience completing outgoing productions from a litigation database application.
  • Experience managing database applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and batch scripting.
  • Ability to work seamlessly and maintain a professional relationship with client managers, subordinates, and other contractors.

Desired Skills:

RCA certification and other Relativity certifications.

Experience monitoring database application health, installation of application components, and planning upgrades.

Familiarity with Brainspace, CaseMap, Nexidia, TrialDirector, or Sanction.

Supervisory Experience.
