Are you interested in joining a dynamic, inclusive, and growing high tech team? Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems is looking for a Director I level candidate to support the Advanced Technology organization.

As a highly visible member of the Advanced Technology Programs (ATP) team, this challenging position supports the ATP Leadership in the management of the ATP business and will be responsible for the capture and execution on a range of programs and pursuits across a diverse customer base including DARPA & ONR – both internal and external. This position will work on emerging technologies that are not well understood inside the company or the customer community. This position will also be responsible for strategy development and the alignment of company investment with future business opportunities. The diverse customer set coupled with the high complexity of advanced technology requires a multi-talented leader.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This highly complex position will hold management responsibility for all phases of technical, financial and schedule performance on multiple (> 30) programs and capture efforts. In this capacity, the Director will:

·Achieve all financial, technical and schedule objectives for programs and new business initiatives

·Establish milestones and monitor adherence to program/capture master plans and schedules

·Develop control systems and reports to assess progress

·Direct the performance of program/capture cross-business teams in engineering, manufacturing, finance and contracts

·Identify potential problems and implement corrective actions

·Anticipate customer needs to ensure satisfaction and continued business

·Ensure all technical objectives of assigned programs are achieved

·Support the development of Annual Operating and 5 Year Business Plans

In addition to these program/capture responsibilities, this position will also be called upon to identify new business opportunities, prepare and present presentations to Customers / internal management, lead and / or coordinate the development of proposals, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, support negotiations and oversee contract administration activities.

Basic Qualifications:

·BS,& MS Degree in Engineering or Science related disciplines

·Minimum of 14years of experience in a multi-discipline environment working in Contract Research & Development, specifically in new business capture, proposal development, technology evaluation, strategy development, program management, and technical contribution

·Engineering team and program management experience

·Experience in leading the development of proposals to capture science and technology CRAD (Contract Research and Development) awards

·Experience with project management tools including Earned-Value Management Systems

·Experience in obtaining Intellectual Property on emerging technologies

·Experience leading the development and management of an Intellectual Property portfolio

·Experience in leading a large functional organization of engineers, scientists, and technicians

·Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARS) and export regulations

Desired Qualification:

·PhD in Engineering or Science related Field

Ability to work in a team environment and effectively direct, influence, motivate and supervise team members

·Demonstrated technical / managerial creativity, product vision and asymmetric “out of the box” thinking

·Academic position experience – professorship in accredited university

·Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

·Broad technology development, engineering and program management experience with integrated circuit design and products as well as compound semiconductor designs and products, and their application in radar, communications, sensors and surveillance systems for both US Government and commercial customers

·Experience driving a focused team toward Company goals along with the ability to inspire innovation and creativity.
