Director, Current Operations

Job Summary
The Director Current Operations plans, controls, monitors, and exercises events execution under the program life cycle and supports the Sr. Director of Operations to ensure satisfactory completion of Task Order project objectives.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Manage, control and execute activities associated with the development of plans and exercises under operations contract to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations, including cost and quality while maintaining company profit motives
  • Implement policies, practices and revisions to existing policies and practices as required to meet company, contracts and order requirements
  • Manage the execution of projects to ensure the fulfillment of the contract obligation to include cost and quality.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to Operation Center Managers, Regional Supervisors, Project Leads, and Site Operations Staff.
  • Develop and provide SOPs and DOPs for Theater Operations.
  • Track and monitor of all LOTDs
  • Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction by quality on-time performance and best return for their investment.
  • Provide management guidance and control for the efficient utilization of human resources assignment, performance, morale and overall welfare assigned.
  • Oversee the start up, control and shutdown of equipment for efficient, economical and environmental standards.
  • Act as a point-of-contact for operation matters relating to contract for representative between customer and DynCorp management team.
  • Provide status to upper management of operations and approaches on solution to problems of the operations.
  • Identify infrastructure work required to include: refurbishment, water distribution, systems, waste water, environmental, lubricants systems, electrical distribution, power generators, etc.
  • Recognize and pursue changes in contract scope and/or workload.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by upper management directives
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of the functions and operations of major U.S. Military Commands
  • Complete understanding of operations of assigned contract
  • Attention to details and able to handle multiple tasks independently
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of various computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
Experience & Education
  • Fifteen (15) years experience in related technical environment
  • Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline; Two (2) years experience in related field can be substituted for each one year of the four (4) years of college
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
