CACI is the prime contractor for the MyNavyHR Transformation program, a large-scale integration and development transformation effort, that will offer significant growth opportunity for candidates. This position will be a unique and exciting career opportunity that will involve the integration, development, and deployment of enterprise wide systems involving COTS ERP, SaaS solutions, mobile solutions, and enterprise data analytics in a state-of-the-art Agile development environment. The transformation and integration of over 50 legacy systems to ERP and SaaS solutions will be a monumental technical experience for this position. In addition, the resulting solution will deliver direct support to our Navy Sailors and their families.

More About the Role:

The Deployment Lead will direct a team of resources to develop and execute the MPT&E Deployment/Cutover Plan. Work will be executed in an Agile environment to deliver incremental functional capability in quarterly releases across a 5-year program lifecycle. The Deployment Lead will manage the process of migrating these releases to the Production environment. This position requires an individual who can lead this initiative across multiple deployments, solution components, technology elements, customer stakeholders, locations, and releases. The selected candidate must possess strong strategic decision-making skills, superior leadership abilities, and excellent team building skills. They must have the vision to understand the customer’s business requirements and can apply current state methods and techniques (to include people, process and technology) to solve business problems effectively and with minimum risk.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Planning – Plan Deployment activities to support quarterly releases functional capability, including development of the MPT&E Deployment/Cutover Plan and managing a project plan for deployment activities
  • Strategy – Work with the Navy team to define the approach for achieving Deployment objectives; provide expertise and technical guidance to support analysis of alternatives and decision-making; share best practices for Configuration Management, Data Migration, and Cutover
  • Logistics – Identify and acquire tools and resources needed to execute the Deployment/Cutover Plan
  • Execution – Establish a Deployment capability for the Program and deliver Deployment service across the Program Lifecycle
  • Management – Lead a team of up to 30 testing, training, information assurance, configuration management, and data management resources to execute the Deployment/Cutover Plan
  • Formulate and present solutions for internal and external customer review
  • Prepare progress reports and update steering committee/executive management as to status, anticipated issues and risks, and problems as they develop
  • Coach and mentor senior and mid-level staff
  • Establish guidelines, standards, and procedures to govern deployment, configuration, training, and data migration processes




You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience with 5 years’ experience leading Release/ Deployment functions for Federal/DOD customers
  • Previous experience implementing COTS/SaaS solutions for government agencies or commercial entities
  • Experience with Deployment Planning including previous experience writing Deployment/Cutover Plans
  • Experience performing Configuration Management for complex IT solutions
  • Experience supporting Government Acceptance Testing
  • Experience with End User Training, Workforce Preparation, and Production Readiness assessments
  • Previous experience as a Team Lead or Project Manager
  • Experience using Agile techniques, including SAFe Agile, for software development and delivery
  • Experience using Microsoft Project to develop and maintain project plans
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools for ERP Applications
  • Demonstrated success leading virtual teams in a complex, fast-paced, and challenging environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance



These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and ServiceNow platforms
  • Experience with Integration Testing, Information Assurance, Government Acceptance Testing, and Data Migration
  • Experience using Jira, Rational Team Concert, or equivalent Agile collaboration tools
  • Domain expertise in Human Capital Management Systems • Previous experience delivering IT solutions to the US Navy
  • CSM, SAFe, ITIL, PMP, or other relevant certifications
  • Understanding of Navy Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education business processes and application systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant tools and applications to support the successful execution of the MPT&E Deployment/Cutover Plan
  • Knowledge and experience with applicable Federal Laws, Regulations and Policies relevant to the implementation and deployment of IT systems in support of the DoD mission
