Key Role:
Draft or edit Operational Plans (OPLANS), Operational Orders (OPORDs), Planning Orders (PLORD), and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs), participate in Joint Planning Groups (JPG) and Operational Planning Teams (OPT), develop and integrate DoD Information Network and defensive Cyberspace capabilities into plans, support action officers with planning, and remain cognizant of missions and priorities. Review drafts and provide advice and assistance to the OPTs and JPGs. Review plans to identify expressed or implied missions and responsibilities. Develop concepts of support, courses of action, integrate command and external capabilities, and coordinate and document comprehensive plans. Assist with planning, research, and analysis of DoD Cyberspace policy, analysis of Cyberspace events and operations, provide specialized expertise in such areas as Cyberspace protection teams employment, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis, targeting process, and exercise planning.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with tactical and operational work as a staff planner
-Experience with planning, research, and analysis of DoD Cyberspace policy and analysis of Cyberspace events and operations
-Ability to draft or edit OPLANs, OPORDs, and FRAGOs
-Ability to develop concepts of support, courses of action, integrate command and external capabilities, and coordinate and document comprehensive plans
-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
-BS degree in IT and 3+ years of experience with military Cyberspace operations or 10+ years of experience with military Cyberspace operations and the military planning process
Additional Qualifications:
-MS degree or higher in an IT-related field
