PAE has an opportunity for a college intern to assist with data analytics on our Federal Government contract in Portsmouth, NH

Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Assist the operations with analyzing data showing trends for potential forecast models
  • Assist with developing formulas and methods that can be applied to other projects
  • Document findings concentrating on why a method should be used
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Learn how to write sql
  • Learn how to use PowerBI and other tools NVC uses
  • Work on several projects to be defined upon employment

The Basic Qualifications for this position are as follows:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive 10-year criminal and credit history background check
  • Must successfully complete a drug screening

Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A rising Junior or Senior actively pursuing a College Degree in either a Mathematical or Statistical area of study At least a GPA of 3.5
  • Provide resume describing qualifications and projects worked on

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated skills in analyzing data
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly in the English language, both written and verbal
  • Desire to use skills learned in the classroom and apply in a business setting
  • Deep interest in analyzing processes

Preferred qualifications

  • In good standing with their current College

Physical Demands:

  • Required to sit at a desk steadily working on a computer.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to Lift up to 10 lbs., bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc.

Work Environment:

  • Mainly office but may also include all other work environments as required.
