Cyberspace Operations Engineer - I


SAIC is seeking a Cyberspace Operations Engineer I to work onsite with our customer in Ft. Meade, Maryland. 

Job Description:

Cyberspace Operations Assessments and Analysis support provides the JOC’s central point for collaboration of cyberspace operations and activities, including those across the Enhanced Shared Situational Awareness (ESSA) and Law Enforcement communities. This subtask is a mission critical function that requires 24x7x365 coverage to support the JOC. The contractor shall provide the following Cyberspace Operations Assessments and Analysis support:

  • Provide initial assessment of the operational impact of on-going actions, policy implementation, and shared situational awareness products.

  • Track CCIRs and Serious Incident Reports (SIRs) and conduct assessments in support of prioritization and deconfliction of cyberspace operations.

  • Coordinate U.S. CIKR assessments of risk, threat, impacts of indications and warnings (I&W), and cyberspace operations and their effects with USCYBERCOM staff elements, JFHQs, subordinate headquarters, CCMD, components, and partner agencies.

  • Monitor current operations, maintain operation objectives and outcomes, and in accordance with assessment plans, develop operational reports (i.e., SITREPs).

  • Assist with developing MOEs and MOPs and assessing, analyzing, and maintaining situational awareness on the execution of USCYBERCOM Operations.

  • Conduct Mission Reports (MISREPs) assessments, track MOPs and MOEs, and collect and prepare metrics for reports.

  • Support prioritization and deconfliction of cyberspace operations in support of CAT, Time Sensitive Targeting (TST), and Time Sensitive Planning (TSP) efforts and CCMD requests for support and effects, by providing situational awareness, intelligence support, and CI deconfliction of DODIN network warfare activities within the DODIN and Intelligence Community (IC).

  • Monitor collaboration tools used in the ESSA community and facilitate communication

  • Coordinate and analyze situational awareness cyberspace operations status reporting from USCYBERCOM and subordinate headquarters.

  • Assist in the development of requirements for ESSA collaboration tools and information systems, and participate in the requirement process through fulfillment.

  • Provide initial assessment of the operational impact of ongoing actions, policy implementation, and shared situational items such as the Cyber Effects Request Form (CERF) and Joint Tactical Cyberspace Request (JTCR) review, assignment, and tracking, Cyberspace Tasking Order (CTO) generation and tracking, coordination of risk and threat assessments on U.S. CIKR, correlation of DoD Dependencies on U.S. CIKR, and impact assessment of intelligence I&W on U.S. CIKR.



  • Minimum two years of experience as a Cyberspace Operations Engineer or related functional area with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level I Certification (CAP, GSLC; Security +)



  • TS/SCI (SCI eligible) with Poly
