Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a Cybersecurity information assurance engineer for client programs to administer the documentation, validation, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure systems meet security and hosting requirements. Review system designs for security compliance, including architecture and environments with differing data protection and classification requirements. Provide Information Assurance (IA) support to ensure all software releases and Cloud-hosted infrastructure meets standard configurations guidelines per DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and receive all Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) security updates throughout the application life cycle. Perform security scans using common government tools and advise team and client decision-makers on the technical implementation of solutions for the sustainment of Cybersecurity for IT systems using knowledge of IA or INFOSEC concepts and requirements. Act as a team subject matter expert on system and network vulnerability analysis, risk assessment and mitigation analyses, contingency planning, and firewall policy, ports, and protocols. Develop security test plans and SOPs for IA tools and processes and ensure system security measures comply with applicable government policies constituting the required baseline for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) systems. Build, modify, and maintain XACTA packages, ensuring accurate information is provided to the Accrediting Authority and use the Enterprise Management Assurance Support Service (eMASS), as required.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity

-2+ years of experience with the Air Force Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD IT, Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes, and network environments

-Experience with the Air Force or other DoD clients

-Secret clearance

-Bachelors degree or 5+ years of experience with Cybersecurity in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD service offerings, hosting, and policies

-Ability to effectively interface with various government agencies, including Authorizing Officials' offices, AF IC and AF SPACE representatives, and hosting environment contacts

-Ability to convey and relay security subject matter to client and internal or external agencies

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in a related field

-CISSP-ISSEP, CISM, or CASP and CompTIA Security+ Certification

Clearance:
