Cybersecurity-Computer Network Defense Service Provider (CND-SP) Infrastructure Support-HBSS

GENERAL SUMMARY:

GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The HBSS administrator will maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers and server and workstation administrators. Maintains system documentation, tunes system performance with McAfee products, installs system-wide McAfee software, and troubleshoots any Mcafee related issues. Interacts with users and administrators on a regular basis.

  • HBSS Team is primarily responsible for monitoring and maintaining HBSS products on endpoints. Team is also responsible for supporting end users in troubleshooting any HBSS related issues, especially with Host Intrusion Prevention (HIPS), and submitting required tickets to service owners where required.
  • The HBSS Team will have a working knowledge of the HBSS suite of products to include Virus Scan Enterprise (VSE), EndPoint Security (ENS), Host Intrusion Prevention (HIPS), Policy Auditor (PA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), McAfee DXL, Tychon, and ACCM.
  • This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. 
  • Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. 
  • Regularly reviews HBSS STIGs and maintain current STIG checklists of all HBSS products.
  • Create and/or manage any required mitigation statements for the exceptions STIGs as needed and perform the period STIG checks as required.
  • Support INSCOM subordinate MSC HBSS Site Reviewers in troubleshooting their systems.
  • Review, respond to e-mails, inquiries from customers/end user personnel in regards to
  • Review incident tickets in regards to HBSS and McAfee related issues utilizing SCSM.
  • Manage HBSS SADRs and ensure their continued functionality.
  • Analyze HBSS policies regularly to ensure their continued support of INSCOM assets.
  • Review HBSS dashboards on a regular basis to ensure product compliance, view rogue systems, and identify any threats or vulnerabilities on the network.
  • Manage Customer SharePoint Portal ensuring up-to-date HBSS information is being shared.
  • Create, review, enforce SOP's

Clearance Requirement:  TS/SCI

 

Required Baseline Certs:  Requires IAT Level III (CISSP or CASP); Must obtain Intel McAfee Certified Product Specialist – EPO and Intel McAfee Certified Product Specialist - HIPS within 180 days of starting in the position.

Education

High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 4 years of experience

MUST Have Skills:

  • Experience and working knowledge of Security Configuration Compliance (Information Assurance Vulnerability Manager (IAVM/IAV Alert (*AVA)/IAV bulletins, STIG/SCAP)
  • Working knowledge and experience with HBSS, Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM) , Serena and MS Active Directory (AD), Group Policies.
  • Possess strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work as well as ability to triage scenarios or bring in additional subject matter experts for problem resolution, as needed.
  • Adhere to Service Management Processes and Procedures (Change, Incident, and Problem)
  • Provide customer service to respective customer base and chain of command.  Document all work in approved tracking systems
