Cyber Vulnerabilities Technician

More About the Role:

  • Conduct penetration testing for software and mobile applications
  • Evaluate system function for various software configurations and applications
  • Develop and publish software characterization reports
  • Identify system vulnerabilities across multiple operating systems and mobile applications
  • Recommend mitigating measures for capabilities developed internally
  • Perform black box penetration testing
  • Develop custom code to support assessments using multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, Java Script, Python, C++)
  • Apply technical knowledge to the design, development, integration, and support of new solutions or products that identify, exploit, or mitigate cyber security vulnerabilities.
  • Research and test new systems, applications, and solutions for cyber systems and networks. 
  • Integrate new features and capabilities into existing infrastructure
  • Apply computer forensic tools and capabilities to support customer initiatives
  • Provide recommendations and deliver reports
  • Resolve integration and testing issues
  • Interface with external entities and other government organization and agencies

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Minimum ten years of related experience, or eight years of related experience and college Associate’s degree
  • Experience in conducting penetration testing and system function evaluations of software configurations and mobile applications
  • Experience in identifying system vulnerabilities and recommend mitigating measures for internally developed capabilities
  • Experience in encryption and obfuscation methods
  • Experience using Windows-based desktop computers and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Professional Suite of applications, specifically MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  • Expertise in software development
  • Solid knowledge of Kali LINUX testing framework, open web security protocols, and black box penetration testing
  • Be Proficient in multiple operating systems and Mobile Applications (e.g. Unix, Linux Debian and Fedora-based distributions, 8088-8086 Architecture, Assembly/Machine Language, OS-X, Windows x32 and x64, Java, Java Script, Chrome OS and internet packet routing, protocols and encryption
  • Proficiency with multiple programming languages (e.g. Java, Java Script, Python, C++)                     
  • Experience in coordinating, writing, and publishing software characterization reports in accordance with established guidelines
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills for briefing & presentations
  • Ability to travel CONUS and/or OCONUS for TDY's up to 6 months at a time

  • Previous deployment experience including deployments to austere environments
  • Current CI Poly
