Cyber Systems Engineer 3

Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer 3 with a focus on prototyping to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Fort Meade, MD. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Cyber Solutions Division/Intelligence Solutions business unit – A market leader which innovates a culture of creativity, investment, and teamwork to solve the Intelligence Community's toughest problems.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The candidate will perform a role in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Individual’s analysis will be performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, development, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Candidate ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Individual performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have an active/current Polygraph clearance

Must have a Bachelors Degree or at least 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of general experience in computer science, computer engineering, engineering, mathematics, or related discipline with at least five years experience in engineering and program processes (CM, QA, risk management, reporting), software development methodologies, planning, designing, and analyzing processing and storage retrieval systems on a mid- to large-scale program.
• Experience in the software development lifecycle process and development methodologies to include agile development.
• Program experience that encompasses requirements development, systems architecture, systems analysis, system design, production, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
• Knowledge of how C++, Perl, and Java work.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in customer engagement and status reporting.
• Experience in providing technical leadership and guidance to software development oriented teams.



Preferred Qualifications:

• Not expected to develop code, but must be familiar with coding as it affects system development.
• Experience in or knowledge of Hadoop/map reduce based tools, cloud analytics, cloud systems.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering.
