Cyber Systems Administrator

Job Description Job Number: R0054144

Cyber Systems Administrator

The Challenge:

Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system architecture, but you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface and provide system administration of Windows and Linux assets. What if you could use your Cyber system administration skills to update, monitor, and report on secure systems for the US Navy? We’re looking for a system administrator who can help defend assets and maintain a secure posture that will stand up to even the most advanced Cyber threats.

As a Cyber systems administrator on our project, you’ll be responsible for problem-solving under the constraints of Navy Cybersecurity mandates. You will need to quickly diagnose problems and implement compliant and efficient solutions to help maintain a secure and productive baseline for important Navy assets. You’ll work with engineers, software developers, and experts on cutting-edge technology to maintain and continue to grow a computing infrastructure of Windows and Linux assets critical to the science and technology efforts of the US Navy. You will identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer’s needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you’ll research new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. On our team, you’ll learn how to take a critical approach to design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and Navy research and rapid development needs. This is a chance to learn from a team of experts as you make a difference in the security of Navy systems that develop that next generation of warfighting capability. We help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like multi-factor authentication, identity and access management, and advanced analytics. You’ll be able to gain experience in Windows and Linux deployments, automation techniques, security monitoring tools, and Cloud technologies while building peace of mind in a critical infrastructure. Join our team as we improve Navy research and development infrastructure to help inform the weapons and tools of tomorrow’s warfighter through Cyber systems administration.
