Cyber Security Engineering Solution Architect

Job Duties and Responsibilities

ManTech seeks a Cyber Security Engineering Solution Architect to join our Solutions Engineering team.  The architect will provide technical pre-sales support to ManTech’s Business Units (BU) and will assist in developing cyber security focused solutions to address federal government customer needs.  The role functions as a technical SME during customer engagements and facilitates interaction and collaboration with BU Leaders and Customer Account Executives.  The Cyber Security Engineering Solution Architect is a thought leader of Cyber Security engineering solutions and trends. The architect provides guidance and insight into the approach and best practices for the implementation of endpoint, software and infrastructure security solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

· Provide pre-sales cyber security engineering architecture support to enterprise / mission-specific application / system / infrastructure transformation or modernization efforts

· Assist Capture Managers in architecting cyber security-engineered solutions that define the approach for planning, implementation, integration, operations, and monitoring of cyber security solutions to meet customers’ requirements

· Analyze customer needs, capture and define business / mission functional and technical cyber security engineering requirements

· Present technical briefings to Customer Executives and their Sr. Cyber Security and IT Staff on cyber security modernization / transformation and agile engineering techniques i.e. micro-segmentation

· Record the ‘as-is’ state of the customers’ cyber security architecture/posture, the supporting cyber security infrastructure, policies, governance and operation procedures

· Understand complex cyber security requirements and develop Concept of Operations to drive the baseline solution for software, systems and infrastructure

· Communicate the role and value of the proposed cyber security solution to the customer organization and present the business case for the technology selection, implementation effort and/or any relevant modernization or transformation services investments

· Assist the Sales and Operations groups with requests for quotes / information, technology and operations bids, proposals and statements of work to the customer

· Review and validate proposed software and systems  and implementation services and solutions to ensure compatibility and consistency with ManTech and industry best practices

· Lead technical proposal teams from concept to detail solution development

· Facilitate and lead highly-technical solution workshops in various sized group settings

· Support developing labor, software and hardware estimates in support of developed cyber security services, software and systems-based solutions

· Stay abreast of cyber security implementation techniques and standards including methodologies and vendor technologies in support of cyber security engineering efforts

· Share with ManTech’s Community of Practices “State of the art Practices” in cyber security engineering

Clearance:  

· Secret (required); Top Secret (preferred)

 


Qualifications





Required:





· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering or Physical Sciences and twelve to fifteen years related experience





· Track record in leading successful capture efforts as a lead cyber security solution engineer/architect





· Experience in delivering cyber security systems development and integration projects





· Experience in supporting estimating and pricing of cyber security engineering services contracts





· Experience and skills in cyber security requirements analysis and definition; architecture styles, tactics, patterns; policies and governance, modeling and documentation





· Experienced with end-to-end SDLC and working experience with NIST,  DoDAF and TOGAF





· Experience with cyber security engineering activities of applications architecture, database architectures, operational and maintenance support of custom developed open-source and/or vendor-platform technologies for the Federal Government





· Certification as an CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)





· Experiences with cyber security engineering solutions for secure infrastructures and code





· Experience with Cyber Security Risk Assessments





· Experience in engineering Identity and Access Management security solutions with Okta, Sailpoint, and like vendor software





· Experience with micro-segmentation security solutions such as Unisys Stealth, Illumio, etc





· Experience in cyber security engineering techniques such as penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, monitoring and intrusion detection, incident response and threat hunting of: applications, endpoints, network infrastructures and mobile devices





· Experience with cyber security needs for DevSecOps in an agile-based software release operations environment





· Experience solutioning with a variety of cyber security vendor technologies such as ArcSight, Splunk, McAfee or Symantec SIEM, FireEye, RSA Archer, Tripwire, etc.
