Cyber Security Analyst


Fulcrum is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support our customer.


Fulcrum is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career.   The successful candidate must be well-versed in security operations, cyber security tools, intrusion detection, and secured networks.


Support security solutions and services across all Department of Education Pivot contractors and implement security best practices.


  • Supports Enterprise Security Management through cyber security, privacy, and information assurance activities
  • Provides support to government  customers security program with that of DHS and other Federal cyber departments and agencies
  • Collects, integrates, interprets, and reports using various tools to demonstrate risk, and advise stakeholders on a course of action
  • Supports program’s Software Assurance, Vulnerability Management, Security Operations, Prevention and Maintenance support
  • Supports the government customers business activities related risk identification and measurement systems within various technical and usage boundaries
  • Collaborates with user, infrastructure support teams and other Pivot contractors to define and measure security policy and standards across the larger government customer environment
  • Works with end users, stakeholders, and support teams to define and establish this secure environment"

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 -5 years of cyber security experience.
  • Experience with COTS technologies used in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment desired
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of current COTS Cybersecurity technologies.
  • Working knowledge of database and operating system security.
  • Understanding of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management is necessary.
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively – Seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.

Desired Qualifications:


  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
  • Experience working in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment desired




  • Computer Science, engineering or related BS degree


Clearance Requirements:           

  • Able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
