Cyber Operations Specialist

The Cyber Operations Specialist supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will serve as the MDA focal point for reporting MDA cybersecurity information to JFHQ-DODIN/USCYBERCOM using a variety of methods including USCYBERCOM VMS, email, STU/STE and other approved means (as required). Duties include the following:
  • Organize and manage communications betweenall MDA Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) stakeholders via teleconferences, technical exchanges and conferences.
  • Coordinate and collaborate between IA/DCO Teams and Agency/Service CSSP.
  • Lead discussions for security implementation needs and configuration issues.
  • Publish, post, track, and report on Cyber Tasking Orders across the enterprise.
  • Draft Alert Bulletins and notifications for remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Develop, review and coordinate inputs on DCO Operations products and deliverables including (but not limited to) the following: JFHQ-DODIN/USCYBERCOM Reports & Briefings; Weekly Performance Reports and Role Based Metrics/Status Reports; Monthly Performance Metrics & Trend Analysis, and subscriber metrics.

  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize various projects and assignments in a dynamic work environment in order to meet unscheduled customer requests.
  • Demonstrate aptitude in oral, written, and interpersonal communications including technical writing.
  • Must be willing to provide training, as needed.
  • Must be willing to work in an operational environment, which may require extended hours with no notice on evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be willing to travel - infrequent and less than two weeks.
This position is located at Schriever AFB, CO.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma
(or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 6 years of general experience.
  • Must have 6 years of directly related experience and 3 years in management or leadership roles.
  • Must have a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g. Security+CE).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Candidate must have an active DoD Secret security clearance to start and be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
  • Experience developing policyor advocating for changes in policy to support new initiatives or required changes/ enhancements.
  • Experience with producing technical documents, briefings and process documents.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Access, Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
