Required Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent required. A technical bachelor’s degree counts as three (3) years of experience.

Required Experience:  Six (6) + years’ experience in conducting intelligence analysis, three (3) of which must have been within the Intelligence Community.


Federal Data Systems is seeking a Cyber Analysis Support Specialist to fill a position supporting our Maryland partner. Qualified and accepted candidates will serve on a computer network operations intelligence team, focused on the threat to networked weapons platforms and US and DoD information networks. The Analyst will collaborate with analytical counterparts, across the U.S. Intelligence Community, apply knowledge of threat environment, open-source tools, and current implementation of threat technologies in order to devise all-source analytic/collection strategies to pursue access and exploitation of targets of interest.

Functional Responsibility:

The CASS Intelligence Analyst will:

·         Analyze network nodes, characterize linkages and determine relationships or flows between nodes.

·         Analyze network events to determine the impact on current operations.

·         Perform risk and opportunity assessments through synthesis of information across intelligence disciplines and open-source information.

·         Analyze and assess technical and operational vulnerabilities emerging technologies or operations, and determining risk to networks.

·         Develop agile response strategies for coordinating and evaluating tasking of systems and sites.

·         Gather, compile and select pertinent data from a variety of sources to include SIGINT, HUMINT, FININT, etc.

·         Conduct research and evaluate technical and all-source intelligence with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures

·         Perform SIGINT Serialized reporting.


·         Demonstrated experience in analyzing intelligence information and technical data, analyzing exploitation opportunities, documenting information and processes, gathering intelligence information, interpreting analytical results, performing Internet research, writing and editing skills at a technical/professional level, and managing internal and external customer relations. Shall be an effective writer and verbal communicator.

·         Demonstrated competence with relevant CNO and SIGINT tools and databases used for the customer mission, and communications skills that include the ability to provide formal documentation of analysis and/or research results.

·         A background in analysis and reporting and be experienced with creating each product type.

·         Communication skills that include the ability to provide formal documentation of analysis and/or research results; prepare and present formal technical briefings and oral discussions.

·         Proficient with internet research and interpreting complex information.


·         Analysis experience with DNI/DNR.

·         An understanding of the Special Technical Operations and Special Access Program communities.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required with the ability to present complex technology into layman terms.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
