Cyber Engineer

Job Description

CACI has an excellent opportunity for a mid level Cyber engineer to support the Army. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor degree with at least 5 years of experience working within information Assurance Technology/CS Compliance. This project supports the Communication Electronics Command (CECOM), Software Engineering Center (SEC) Command Control, and Communications-Tactical (C3T) Directorate located in Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG)


What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Review new cyber security policy/regulations, analyze and provide recommendations on security controls to address gaps
  • Provide subject matter expertise on security frameworks and requirements, using this knowledge to advise, support policy development, and conduct risk analysis
  •  Help clients identify operational and technical gaps in information security programs and recommend solutions
  • Recommend modifications or improvements for technologies, documentation and process for improving security
  • Design and/or implement solutions that support compliance and risk mitigation goals
  • Leverage security engineering fundamentals and processes based on best industry practice
  • Perform technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, and then able to recommend mitigation strategies for those that do not comply with established IA standards
  • Responsible for system or network designs that encompass multiple Computing Environment and/or Network Environments to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
  • Skill in conducting vulnerability scans and recognizing vulnerabilities in security systems
  • Knowledge of new and emerging information technology (IT) and information security technologies


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor degree
  • 5 years of professional experience  within the last 10 years, appropriate computing environment certification, and IA WORKFORCE SYSTEM ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER (IASAE) SPECIALTY


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Software programming experience
  • Advanced Degree with concentration in Information Security or Cyber Security preferred.
  • A preferred degree in Computer Science,  or other Engineering or Technical discipline with an Information  Security or Cyber Security Concentration.
