Responsibilities
The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Cyber Counterintelligence Officer.

In this position, you will conduct Counterintelligence (CI) investigations and provide cyber support for the INL's CI Program. You will prepare assessments and technical analysis of cyber threats to the laboratory and DOE. You will develop and maintain counterintelligence analytical procedures to meet changing requirements. You will gather and analyze data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes. You will effectively communicate technical information in an understandable and meaningful manner to a heterogeneous audience. You will ensure a close working relationship with the INL Cyber Security. You will be expected to analyze large data sets including firewall, email, and web logs. You will be asked to evaluate and recommend the use of CI cyber tools to enhance INL Cyber protection.
You will also support all intelligence and CI efforts of other authorized agencies and will act as a liaison with Federal and local intelligence/law enforcement agencies for cyber related issues of interest.

Master’s degree in a computer related field with at least 3 years of cyber experience; or Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field with 5 years cyber experience. Must have the technical capabilities to manage large data logs with standard available IT tools. Should have some knowledge of malware, cryptographic technology, network protocols, email protocols and architectures, cyber security tools and techniques (including firewalls and intrusion detection techniques). Must be capable of working independently and have a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work appropriately. Must have excellent oral, written, and computer skills. Must have the ability to work occasional extended and irregular hours during peak times.

Preferred but not required qualifications:
Cyber experience in handling computer incidents, risk assessment, vulnerability analysis. Programming (Python, Perl, C), Linux expert user level and or system administration a plus.
