Cyber and Special Missions (CSM) Mission Area (MA) Technical Director (TD)

The Cyber and Special Missions (CSM) Mission Area (MA) Technical Director (TD) is fully responsible for technology planning across the MA. The MATD role is focused on the front end of the business and is expected, together with his/her team, to work with our clients to align technology solutions with their business objectives and budgetary needs, and then implement those solutions. Technology planning includes executable statement of needed technologies (KPMs, KPPs), leadership in acquiring those technologies, as well as communicating the resulting solutions in winning proposals. The CSM MATD reports directly to the IIS TD, is a member of the IIS Technology Council and is a member of the CSM MA Leadership Team. Interpersonal and presentation skills must be excellent given the expected level and frequency of customer interaction. As the technical leader of CSM extensive knowledge of IC Agencies and SOCOM, particularly as they relate to cyber capabilities, special missions tradecraft and customer plans are necessary. Intimate and current knowledge of the government customer base and knowledge of the applicable industry base (competimates and commercial technologies) is critical.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate regularly with the team and clients to ensure client satisfaction, review client initiatives and team goals, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop a solid understanding of all our services and align to client technology needs
  • Act as a subject matter and industry expert and assist customers with the technology selections
  • Consult regularly with clients regarding Cyber and IT needs and budgets as well as develop strategic technology plans and roadmaps based on budget and business drivers
  • In collaboration with Business Development, manage vendor relationships on behalf of the Raytheon to ensure technology goals are met.
  • Recommend the appropriate products and services that meet client needs and provide value.


Specific duties and expectations include:
  • Development of the CSM technical roadmap
  • Leadership in CR&D, IR&D and other means of technology acquisition
  • Leadership of pursuit strategy development
  • Leadership and management of the Sub-MA Technical Directors and Mission Systems Engineers
  • Support to Corporate activities such as Enterprise Campaigns, Core Research Projects and special tasks
  • Development and use of the CODE Center
  • Extensive travel as required including international travel
  • Close collaboration with the CSM Business Development Executive and the CSM Program Engineer

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in CYBER and/or Special missions.
  • Extensive knowledge of cyber capabilities, special missions tradecraft and customer base
  • Extensive proven credentials in the relevant government customer space
  • Demonstrated experience developing and presenting technical briefings to customer and Senior leaders
  • Current TS/SCI clearance and, if required by a customer, willingness to submit to a polygraph

Required Education (including Major):

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent is required. An advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) or certificates are preferred.
