CSM Technical Sales Manager

CSM provides cyber solutions to domestic and international government and commercial customers; delivers quick-reaction mission solutions; and expands our involvement in high consequence missions.

Job Description:
This position serves as the Sales Manager reporting to the Director of Technical Sales. Requires a sales professional with a proven ability to identify leads, qualify, develop and close business. Ideal candidate has sales experience in the Federal Government and commercial with a background in security software and services. The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of the “sales steps to closure” and the internal financial planning and acquisition process of the assigned market segments is necessary.
Primary responsibilities are:
  • Work with prospects and customers on a daily basis to generate sales revenue and provide account management support, forecast business accurately, and develop a strategic plan to sell to the U.S. Federal Government and commercial markets.
  • Analyze the needs of prospects and customers and determine how to position Raytheon
  • Provide professional leadership and coordination to the sales support team on revenue opportunities
  • Maintain an awareness of competitive offerings and strategies in order to meet established sales objectives
  • Coordinate meetings and product demonstrations between company personnel, vendors, prospects and customers
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
  • Forecast business accurately, build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities such that the sales pipeline reflects the capability to meet and exceed sales goals on a quarterly basis
  • Execute and adhere to the sales process with particular attention to opportunity identification, qualification and assessment for success
  • Demonstrate effective negotiation and closing techniques in securing profitable business in order to meet sales objectives established by management
  • Build relationships across the RTN product organizations to cross promote CSM capabilities to these new clients
  • Build relationships and represent CSM with 3rd party partners, OEM partners, system integrators etc. to promote growth of CSM

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience selling security software and services
  • Proven negotiating skills with the ability to develop and present winning proposals.
  • Communications and Teamwork - Communicate appropriately and effectively with all staff, customers, and corporate support team members. Make a concerted effort to resolve issues that are within position responsibilities.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and able to operate with minimal supervision in a highly visible, high pressure environment
  • Creative and innovative troubleshooter who possesses very strong organizational skills, coordination, planning, analytical, teaming and problem-solving skills
  • Have a high situational awareness, be able to effectively work multiple projects simultaneously with diverse groups and customers, and possess the ability to produce under stressful conditions using essential diplomatic skills
  • Top secret security clearance is preferred but not required
