Cost Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Lead and manage cost teams which perform independent cost engineering and cost analysis of DoD programs by translating technical requirements into cost information. Support junior and mid-level cost engineers by training and mentorship. Lead in the identification of cost data to be collected, oversee data collection and review draft Work Breakdown Structures, review draft cost reporting plans, normalize data, perform regression analysis, learning curve analysis and other statistical analyses. Estimate the costs of software development and maintenance, model in Excel or review Excel based cost models using dynamic formulas, including complex conditional statements and database lookup commands; assess, quantify and incorporate cost uncertainty through Monte Carlo discrete event simulation. Document and present results communication with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings. Grow the size of teams and the business base. Support successful program acquisition milestone reviews, support contract negotiations, prepare program budget submittals, perform should cost initiatives to improve program efficiency, and evaluate the costs of multiple future program options.  This position is located in Washington, DC.

 Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

-Experience with data collection and analysis 

-Experience with DoD acquisition and support of major milestones

-Experience with statistical regression analysis and probabilities

-Experience with discrete event simulation, particularly Monte Carlo simulation

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with manufacturing process flow

-Experience with supply chain management and logistics

-Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision -Possession of excellent management and business development skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills 
-Possession of excellent collaboration skills
-Possession of excellent leadership and teamwork skills -Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, or related field

-International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA) Certified Cost Estimator Analyst (CCEA) a plus
