JOB DESCRIPTION: 
A successful Content Management Subject Matter Expert provides in-depth technical support throughout the system lifecycle, from concept through decommission, across multiple applications hosted within several disparate Windows domain systems.
A successful candidate will be an active participant of a highly skilled technical support team that is responsible for both long and short term planning activities, execution of those plans, and the resultant operation, administration, and maintenance of the affected systems. Assist in the engineering, design, integration, and administration of nascent capabilities and will also assist in the improvement, migration from, or decommissioning of existing ones. Interact directly with both data owners/stewards, other system administrators, and end-users to assist in gathering requirements, day-to-day system administration activities, and troubleshooting various end-user reported issues. Interact directly with both data owners/stewards, other system administrators, and end-users to assist in gathering requirements, day-to-day system administration activities, and troubleshooting various end-user reported issues.
  • Provide mid to expert-level technical support for multiple customer sponsored systems.
  • Participate in the planning, design, test, integration, and deployment of technical solutions.
  • Assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various production systems and related system test environments.
  • Interface with end users and support program training events.
  • Process customer requests; verify authorization; obtain approvals, and serve as a liaison between end users and other members of a technical support team.
  • Draft technical support documentation as required.
  • Use of issue tracking system to facilitate managing tasks and documenting resolutions experience in gathering functional requirements from clients/end-users and translating them to technical requirements for use in the implementation of technical solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10-15 years direct experience performing Content Management, Database Administration, and System Administration functions within Microsoft Windows, distributed computing environments
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance.
  • Working with content owners to capture visions and goals and parsing their data/content into a customized content management solution that achieves the desired outcome.
  • Organizing and presenting data/content in a manner that is both visually appealing, informative and easily discoverable.
  • Implementing access control schemas to ensure data/content is only shared with authorized persons.
  • Providing mid to expert-level system and database administration functionality.
  • Aptitude for diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving common Windows related technical issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Strong technical writing skills in creating/editing design documents, test plans, drawing packages, training packages, standard operating procedures, defect reports, how-to instructions, etc....
  • Ability to explain policies, procedures and technical information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working knowledge of industry standard security principles, information security best practices and related technologies.
  • Use of issue tracking systems.
  • Familiarization with system back-up solutions.
