TheConfiguration Management SME is consideredan expert in all areas of Configuration Management, Hardware and SoftwareConfiguration, Data Management and management of Third-Party Software. The Configuration Management SME willsupport the Enterprise Configuration Management (ECfM) contract for aGovernment customer.

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Responsiblefor establishing Enterprise Configuration Management policies and bestpractices in accordance with DESMF and ITIL policies and procedures.
  • Responsiblefor the implementation and maintenance of the ECfM framework and overseeing theperformance of all ECfM related activities.
  • Performas ECfM Team Lead to balance workload across the entire support team to meetcritical program deadlines and deliverables.
  • Serveas CfM Contractor SME while coordinating work efforts with various work centersand divisions.
  • Reviewnon-Configuration Management policies and templates to determine risks impactsto customer.
  • Developtraining materials for employees and customers within the customers environment.
  • Trainall functional areas on CfM processes.
  • Providedirection and delegates work to lower level employees.
  • Serve,Lead or participate in Configuration Control Boards (CCB's).
  • Createand approve program Configuration Data Management Plans and contribute to thegenerating of program plans.
  • Supportproposals by reviewing customer requirements and document defining bestpractices, identifying data items, close out costs, labor hours, etc. forproposals to determine scope and cost
  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 8+ years of related experience inconfiguration management within the last 10 years: developing, implementing ormaintaining Enterprise Configuration Management systems and processes
  • Experiencewith Remedy v8 ITSM
  • Experiencereviewing deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance withestablished standards and policies, demonstrating the highest attention todetail in execution and record keeping
  • Must have a project managementcertification.
  • Top secret clearance required

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Theability to display and perform advanced knowledge, and an applicableunderstanding of DESMF Configuration Management
  • Possessthe ability to communicate effectively, collaboratively, and confidently inwriting and in one-on-ones, small groups, and large group meetings
  • Abilityto meet clearance requirements
  • Abilityto travel

  • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
