Configuration Management Engineer/Systems Analyst Huntsville, ALThe Configuration Management Engineer/Systems Analyst in this position will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program and will work as part of the GMD System Engineering team supporting Configuration Management (CM) development activities. The Configuration Management Engineer/Systems Analyst will provide support and coordination of Prime Contractor/Government activities required to develop and deliver a desired CM capability in accordance with the standard Systems Engineering Lifecycle of a program or project. Responsibilities:

• Provide advisory and assistance services on the TEAMS contract supporting the DoD MDA organization.• Work with engineers and analysts reviewing technical documents associated with DoD weapons systems programs.• Evaluates, selects and applies analysis techniques, procedures, and criteria to facilitate or lead programmatic evaluations and assessments• Work with the Engineers to create and review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)• Establish/manage the Configuration Change Board (CCB) process for both hardware and software control• Perform Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA)• Review Specifications, Parts Lists, Assembly, Application and Source Control, Vendor Item Drawings for correctness• Review CM related SOW, CDRL and DID language prior to contract award, ensuring accuracy and tailoring as appropriate for program needs• Establish and document standard processes and procedures for CM related activities• Ensure contractor/vendor compliance with contract CM requirements. Review contractor CM plans and related processes ensuring contract compliance• Work with Data Management to route CM deliverables and ensure a timely response to the CM related CDRLs• Work with Safety, Production, and Quality Management/Assurance/Engineering (QM/QA/QE) to ensure any changes identified are identified and updated via the CCB in the TDP• Assist in the development of Executive level briefings, papers, and other correspondence – ability to brief Executive Level Management if/when necessary• Support the Government Engineering Team by representing the interests of the Customer in working group forums, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Formal Reviews, Test Events, and any other forums required by the customer

Education and Experience:This position requires a BA/BS degree in Engineering or related technical degree and 5+ years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Experience with MDA/GMD program preferred).Other Requirements:• Knowledgeable of Product Data Management systems and requirements• Knowledge of current Department of Defense drawing standards and Configuration Management Military and Commercial Standards, MIL-HDBK-61A, EIA-649-1, MIL-STD-31000, MIL-HDBK-245, DODI 5010.12M, and ANSI Y14 series is preferred• Capable of performing as a member of a team and assisting with solving complex problems• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Sharepoint• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with peers and executive leadership• Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment• Secret clearance required• Travel as required to support oversight, meetings, reviews, etc.Candidate MUST hold an active Secret Security Clearance
