Configuration Data Management Analyst


SAIC is a principle Engineering Service provider for Government system Design, development, and post deployment product sustainment in support of NAWCWD Point Mugu, CA.  We operate as an integrated workforce and preform the preponderance of our support from the Government site. We are currently looking to hire a Configuration Management Analyst:


In this role you will:


Plans and execute preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.

Review contract and engineering artifacts to determine what configuration documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering,  manufacturing, testing and other related processes.

Analyze and make decisions about proposed changes to designs, to determine effect on overall product and system.

Manage modification records for management control.

Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation

Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.


A successful candidate for this position will utilize their Configuration Management experience to maintain and update program documentation packages such as:

·         Data Requirements Specification (DRS);

·         Database Design Descriptions (DDD);  

·         Interface Requirements Specifications (IRS);

·         Interface Design Description (IDD);

The candidate will provide systems analysis of software requirements, and their impact to various aviation platforms functional baselines, to senior staff. 


Further, the candidate will support the definition of tables and column-data table fields to support SQL Data Types.


The candidate will  work closely, and in conjunction, with Government customer's team and use the Government's Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) to accomplish this tasking.  


  • Candidate will have a minimum Security clearance of Secret (interim)
  • BS Degree and a 3 years minimum experience in Navy project support' OR  4 years of additional service is a suitable substitute for BS Degree.
  • The candidate will have documented hands on support using DOORS.
  • Candidate will show recent and relevant experience to research and analyze/catalogue System Requirements; to work within a group/team structure.

Desired Qualifications


  • Software Development knowledge.
  • Navy Experience; Electronic Warfare experience.
  • Database administration support experience.
