Config Analyst/Digital Librarian - Crane, IN

SAIC is seeking a Config Analyst/Digital Librarian to support NSWC CRANE in Crane, IN.

 

Job Description:

  • Responsible for providing Configuration Management and Data Management guidance and technical support. Responsibilities include change management and process support, configuration status accounting, CM database administration and workflow engineering in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool/database repositories as well as documentation support (development of CM and Data Management plans and instructions).
  • Provide Technical Data Package (TDP) support, reviewing configuration items and supporting documentation for technical accuracy. 
  • Provide change recommendations with supporting rational and assist with preparation of changes prior to submission for government approval and change incorporation.
  • Support data migration/entry of Program documentation and configuration information (i.e., documents, engineering drawings, software, requirements data, issue reports, deviations/waivers, change requests and notifications) in the PLM tool and support creation/maintenance of the Program’s data structure in the tool for effective program monitoring.
  • Train/assist customers in use of the PLM tool for maintenance of program documents, data items, configuration items, and product configuration data.
  • Develop job aids for team member use as needed.
  • Provide Configuration Status Accounting Reports (CSARs) and generate customer ad hoc reports in the CM Tool, as needed.
  • Support Program technical meetings, such as Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Document and Design Review Boards (DRBs), Test Readiness Review Reviews (TRRs), as needed.
  • Support technical data retention and analysis per the program’s data management, test analysis, and test procedure requirements.
  • Support the development of CM policies and ensure industry standards are utilized for change management and archival of design/ technical data.
  • Support cataloguing and access to program information: may develop storage platforms, index strategies, and user interfaces for knowledge assets.
  • Apply CM best practices to Model Based Systems Engineering activities 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience. 
  • US Citizen with the ability on obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Information Studies/Library Science/Computer Information Systems)
  • Product Lifecycle Management Tool experience (iPDM, CMPRO, Windchill)
  • Background in Configuration/Change Management (software CM preferred), Process Management, Database Administration, Digital Library Support
  • Configuration Management Certification from CMPIC, CMII, or similar industry provider
