Computer Systems Architect 2/3

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) seeks to fill the position of Computer Systems Architect 2/3 in the Engineering, Sciences, & Technology (ES&T) function with an individual with experience as a Computer Software Integrator to support the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command Systems (IBCS) Program. This position will provide day to day software integration and regression testing. This position includes disciplines involving operating systems and infrastructure administration, application troubleshooting, and working in a software development lifecycle environment.

Additionally, this position will assist software developers on a daily basis. Responsibilities include executing simulation runs, troubleshooting software related issues, harvesting log data, working in a Linux environment, and daily installation and verification of software.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.
  • BQs for a Computer Systems Architect 2 are Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or MS and 0 years; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • BQs for a Computer Systems Architect 3 are Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experience; Masters and 3 years or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience
  • Current/Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE certification
  • Strong problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Custom software integration experience
  • Experience in Java and C++ programming
  • Experience with Bash scripting
  • Experience with technical activity for design, integration, test, and delivery of technical products
