Computer Network Technologist II

IIS is looking for a Computer Network Technologist II to support the management of a classified customer network located in the Dulles campus in Sterling Virginia.US Citizenship is required as the candidate will need a security clearance as of day one employment.

Key skills required:

Network Engineer/Administrator:

1. Working knowledge of the 2012 MS Server.

2. CISCO CCNP or CCNA Certified.

3. Experience with configuring/updating and troubleshooting of Firewalls and

Intrusion-detection and prevention devices.

4. Familiar with DISA/DSS security requirements for securing information system.

5. Possess deep understanding and ability to interpret variety of log files. (ACAS/NESSUS, SCAP, SPLUNK, STIGs, scans)

6. Hands-on knowledge of "SolarWind Log and Event Manager", KIWI or other log reduction tools.

7. Secure NTP

8. Minimum current US Secret Security Clearance.

9. Desirable: Knowledge of;

- HBSS,

- COMSEC equipment (KG-175), etc.

10.2 years of related work experience.

11.Current Secret Security Clearance is required.US Citizenship required.

Systems Administrator:

1. Working knowledge of the 2012 MS Server, preferably Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA)

2. Knowledge and hands-on experience with network equipment like CISCO.

3. Experience with configuring/updating and troubleshooting of Firewalls and

Intrusion-detection and prevention devices.

4. Familiar with DISA/DSS security requirements - STIGs.

5. Possess deep understanding and ability to interpret variety of Windows OS log files and ACAS/NESSUS scans

6. Hands-on knowledge of "SolarWind Log and Event Manager", KIWI, or other log reduction tools.

7. Minimum clearance "Secret"

8. Desirable: Knowledge of;

- HBSS,

- COMSEC equipment (KG-175), etc.

Desired training credentials:

- MCSA Certifed

Definitions and Must-Have Knowledge Base

ACAS – Assured Compliance Assessment Solution to include these components; Security Center, NESSUS User Interface.

HBSS – Host Based Security System is the official name given to the Department of Defense (DOD) commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) suite of software applications used within the DOD to monitor, detect, and counter attacks against the DOD computer networks and systems.(32 hour HBSS training available on site for users)

These are required applications for any accredited SIPRNet system.

Defense Information System Network (DISN)

DoDD 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management (reissue and renumber of DoD 8570.01) certifications and requirements training, commensurate with level of user access.

- SIPR users must have Security+ CE at a minimum, with intent to attain CISSP.

Required Education:

Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field and 2 years of related work experience or an additional 8 years of related work experience in lieu of degree.
