TheCommunications/Architectures SupportSpecialist will provide Joint Capabilities Integration and DevelopmentSystem (JCIDS) requirements analysis and communication architecture support tothe TRADOC Capability Manager (TCM) - Aerial

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Contributeto data transmission and architecture portions of the emerging Next GenerationAerial ISR Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership &Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) and ICD working groups.
  • Researchand compile data on relevant technology areas (e.g., spherical antennas,graphene solar panels, etc.)
  • Networkand develop contacts amongst various organizations in order to monitor changesto requirements and acquisition programs affecting TCM-Aerial interests.
  • Functionas the TCM-Aerial Liaison to multiple sister activities within the IntelligenceCenter Capabilities Directorate.
  • Representclient interests in multiple telecoms, VTCs, S-VTCs and working groups (e.g.,Sensor-CE, MI Lessons-Learned, PED OPT, etc.).
  • PreparedEXSUMS to back-brief TCM Aerial leadership
  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Top Secret (TS) clearance withaccess to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) required

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Senior-level working experience in: communications, architectures, andnetworks required to support intelligence collection, gathering, processing,display, and dissemination of collected intelligence data; including, but notlimited to GEOINT, IMINT, MASINT, SIGINT sensor data and information, relatedtactical common datalink, and requisite communications capabilities
  • Senior-level knowledge ofnetwork-centric interface and communications architecture related capabilities;including, but not limited to the following: aerial manned, UAS intelligencesystems, sensors, payloads, their related ground components, AISR systems to DCGS-A, OperationalIntelligence Ground Station (OGS) and Tactical Intelligence Ground Station(TGS) connectivity, tactical common datalinks; such as, tactical commondatalink TCDL, Global Information Grid (GIG), and Global Broadcast System (GBS)interface requirements, communications, datalink capabilities, operations, andtraining
  • Excellent written and verbalcommunications and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently andas a team member
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to handle controversialsituations with tact and diplomacy.

  • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas of operations,may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
