Cisco VTC And VoIP Engineer

Job Description

CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our TSA IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI will provide a variety of IT services through IMPACT including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services.   CACI will support TSA in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments increasing availability and security for a variety of applications and systems. IMPACT services will integrate with the broader DHS mission and enhance existing Department-wide IT capabilities.

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is looking to hire a VTC and VoIP engineer to support our DHS Customer.  You'll provide endpoint configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance support for Cisco VTC and VoIP equipment. You will install, relocate, configure, upgrade and maintain Cisco VTC and VoIP endpoints IAW with TSA SOPs and configuration standards. In addition, the VTC and VoIP engineer is responsible for in-room support to TSA VIP staff requiring excellent communication skills and daily interaction with customers.

More About the Role:

  • Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Cisco video conferencing equipment / VoIP handsets and components, cables, connectors and peripherals
  • Configuration of VoIP handsets in Cisco Unified Call Manager
  • Configuration of VTC endpoints in Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS) and Video Communication Server (VCS)
  • A deep understanding of Unified Communications and Cisco Meeting Manager (CMS) and Cisco Meeting Manager (CMM) Video conferencing, including but not limited to: Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, IMP, UCCX, Expressways, Jabber Client, SIP, H.323, and QoS

  • Provide in-person/desk-side support for new VTC/VoIP endpoint installations
  • Assists in all service / system upgrades while being a team player involving telecommunications and networking projects
  • Provides hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all related systems, equipment failures or service issues
  • Schedule VTC appointments using Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)
  • Connects personal computers and peripherals to co-exist with VTC equipment on existing networks.
  • Maintains network diagrams and connectivity records
  • Maintain trouble logs
  • Instructs users in the use of personal computers and briefing equipment in a variety of conference room settings including Town Halls and VIP sponsored events
  • Performs vulnerability remediation as directed to maintain secure networks
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot any issues requiring escalation to OEM
  • Providing end user training and develop and maintain training material


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required
  • An active DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment
  • University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent, and minimum 15 years' related work experience
  • Requires 3+ years’ experience configuring Cisco VTC endpoints utilizing TMS for call scheduling/bridging and VCS for call routing
  • Requires 3+ year’s experience configuring Cisco VoIP handsets utilizing CUCM  
  • Strong communications skills and customer service focused

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Relevant DHS focused experience
  • Active DoD clearance preferred, but not required
