Cisco Voice Engineer

ECS is seeking a Cisco Voice Engineer to work in our Washington, D.C. office.  

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

ECS has an opportunity for a Senior Cisco Voice Engineer. The Senior Cisco Voice Engineer possesses significant hands-on experience with Cisco Voice Portal (CVP) and related network technologies. You will be responsible for validating and implementing changes to a call center design that will increase concurrent call and provide full redundancy to other CVP nodes in other regions.

Required Skills:

  • Expert experience in all aspects of Cisco Voice Portal, related Cisco telecom products and network infrastructure.
  • Experience in design and development of advanced, geographically redundant call centers.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Routers, switches, firewalls, and voice gateways.
  • Strong Knowledge of VoIP and Video technologies and protocols; SIP, H.323, RTP, TLS, SCCP, H.264, MGCP, PRI, FXO/FXS and POTS.
  • Experience with dynamic routing technologies such as OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.
  • Experience with Cisco LAN/WAN and firewall technologies including zone-based firewalls.
  • Recent experience with configuration and management of Cisco Voice and Contact Center technologies and systems.
  • Knowledge in CVP scripting and call control.
  • Experience in network design and architecture experience, to include LAN, WAN, and production datacenter environments supporting web hosting components and infrastructure, including web servers, application servers, load balancers, mail and DNS servers.

  • Active IRS MBI Clearance
  • Cisco Certified Networking Professional – CCNP-Voice or Collaboration
  • Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert – CCIE-Collaboration
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
