Chief Engineer 4

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT)Lead. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's team in Baltimore,Maryland, an organization focused on development and production of state-of-the-art RF sensor systems solutions.
The selected candidate will be responsible for a program team of approximately5 to 10highly skilled systems engineers whoseresponsibilities includerequirements development and flow down, system architecture, SW/HW/FW development oversight, integration and test planning and execution, system verification, and sustainment.
The SEIT Lead will:
  • own and manage the overalltechnical baseline of the assigned program(s)
  • be accountable forbudget and schedule for the systems engineering content of the assigned program(s)
  • communicate with and serve as the program systems engineering team liaison to program management, customers, andfunctional management
  • drive systems engineering process application across the assigned program(s)
  • manage risks and opportunities for all systems engineering scope

  • Stakeholder Analysis
  • Requirements Engineering
  • System Analysis & Trade Studies
  • Modeling and Simulation
  • System Architecture and Design
  • Specialty Engineering
  • System Security
  • System Integration & Test

  • Logistics
  • Operation, Maintenance, and Sustainment
  • Configuration Management
  • Cost Engineering
Strong communication and people leadership skills paired with RF domain expertise are a must for this position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with9 or more years of experience with Bachelors,7 years with Masters,4with PHD
  • Experience leading teams of systems engineers
  • Experience in RF systems development, integration, andtest
  • Strong systems thinking mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • ActiveDoD Interim Secret Clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in STEM, business, or management
  • Multiple domain expertise across the electromagnetic spectrum (e.g., radarand electronic warfare)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of earned value management
  • Work experience and/or exposure to manufacturing
  • Work experience and/or exposure to Supply Chain Management (Sub-contractors)
  • Work experience in one or more other engineering functional areas (Hardware, Software, Firmware, Field Engineering, etc.)
