Chief DevOps Architect

Job Duties and Responsibilities

ManTech is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Chief DevOps Architect in San Antonio, TX.  This rewarding and highly challenging position provides direct support and significant impact to operations of national security.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Resolve customer requirements and propose solutions for system modifications and enhancements
• Support architectural design and implementation of cloud computing environments supporting software development, continuous integration, and test automation functions
• Write professional and detailed design and maintenance documentation
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and system engineers to ensure quality product deliverables
• Follow Agile Scrum methodology
• Take self initiative to remain knowledgeable of evolving trends in current and emerging DevOps technologies
• Work within a team environment
• Supervise senior, mid-level, and/or junior engineers

Preferred skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and twelve years of related experience; higher level degrees can be substituted for three to six years of experience; additional 3 years of experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of six years’ experience in DevOps technologie
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:  Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Software Development, or a related field
• Experience with Agile/automation test techniques including: test-driven development (TDD); continuous integration, unit testing, system testing, and regression testing
• Knowledge and experience with emerging technology related to DevOps, microservices, cloud platforms, software defined storage, container platform and orchestration, and virtualization to include network functions virtualization (NFV)
• Knowledge and application of Python
• Knowledge and application of continuous build systems such as Hudson/Jenkins
• Knowledge and application of automated provisioning solutions such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Salt
• Experienced with source control and code repository tools
• System administration experience in Windows and Linux environments
• Network administration experience in Windows and Linux environments
• Test automation experience in Windows and Linux environments



• Individuals must be a U.S. Citizen and be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance
• Applicants must pass a government security background investigation
