CDM Configuration Analyst

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Overview:
ManTech is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Analyst to join our team in Reston VA to provide unparalleled support to our customers and to begin an exciting career at ManTech. As a member of the Service Transition organization, the Configuration Management Analyst will work closely with engineers, testers, trainers as well as government agency personnel to perform configuration management and release planning activities related to Test Lab environments in support of the deployment of cyber solutions. The Configuration Management analyst will execute configuration management activities against established solutions for internal and external configuration management functions on a large-scale cyber program. 
  
Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

  • The Configuration Management Analyst will perform all key functions for the facilitation, execution, and reporting of all configuration management practices both internally and in coordination with government agencies.
  • Maintain the configuration management processes and procedures within the Change management Plan to support both internal and external configuration management.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders throughout the configuration management process to ensure comprehensive communications related to upcoming changes.
  • Review/manage changes for internal test lab environments, manage changes throughout configuration items (CIs) life cycle.
  • Conduct configuration item (CI) tracking, status, accounting, and audits.
  • Provide support in Configuration Planning, Identification, Configuration Baseline Control and Configuration Auditing activities.
  • Administer/maintain data repository (CMDB) to support program needs and ensure integrity/operational performance of CMDB.
  • Create/manage program CI baselines & prepare/inspect deployment baseline packages.
  • Assist the Configuration Management Lead with tracking, logging, categorizing and maintaining configuration changes made against established baselines.
  • Review changes in configuration database for compliance with industry standards as well as contractual and internal requirements.
  • Generate and evaluate Configuration Management metrics.
  • Support creation of contract deliverables and configuration management project artifacts.
  • Support training efforts as required - provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs 
  
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years demonstrated configuration management & asset management related experience.
  • Experience with ITSM management tools (i.e. Service Now, Remedy).
  • Experience working with the federal government agency.
  • Knowledge of IT systems management, especially Systems Engineering Life Cycles (SELC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and AGILE development methodologies as well as ITIL/ITSM experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customer, technical, and management personnel.
  • Must possess a self-starter mentality and be an effective problem-solver.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and work independently Exceptional organizational & multi-tasking skills.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (including MS Office suite, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and DHS Suitability clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with SharePoint and JIRA.
  • Experience with requirements, change, incident, problem management.
  • DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) and other civilian agency clearances.
  • ITIL certification.
