Carpenter

       

Overview: 

PAE is seeking a Carpenter to support an enterprise Facilities Support services contract in Northwest Florida.  The Carpenter performs a variety of trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of carpentry services. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. The Carpenter must demonstrate and apply highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to manage several tasks in a diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice tasking’s under high pressure situations.

Essential Job Duties

·        Performs the carpentry duties necessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors.

·        Plans and lays out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments, makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, and selects materials necessary for the work

Qualifications

·        Able to maintain an active Top Secret SCI security clearance.

·        Four years or more experience as a carpenter.

·        High School diploma or equivalent five to seven years of related experience as a journeyman-level craft worker. Master carpenter certification desired. 

·        Experience performing quality painting and repair or replacement of windows, doors, locks, wood furniture and carpentry-related light construction work

·        Ability to work effectively with multi-national staff and demanding customers

·        Knowledge of applicable stateside, international codes and acceptable trade practices

·        Knowledge of all principles and processes involved in operating and supporting appliance functions at a large facility

·        Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules

·        Excellent organizational and time management skills

·        Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel

·        Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change

·        Expert English communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information
