JOB DESCRIPTION

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an experienced Capture Manager with experience in leading, developing, and managing capture plans and strategies for new business opportunities in the base operations services field, including facilities management, operations & maintenance, life support, supply chain management, procurement, and construction. The Capture Manager will be responsible for focusing efforts and maintaining progress in the pursuit of business opportunities working collaboratively with program management, contracts, business development and finance.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Drives opportunity from capture decision to contract award, formulates, communicates and implements and integrated capture strategy, pricing, teaming, competitive intelligence/analysis, client relations, and technical solutions/concept development
  • Prospects for new customers, develops and expands current business lines, make determination on viable business to pursue
  • Orchestrates bid strategies, technical and management approaches, oversight of the development of the cost volume and teaming strategy, as well as capture and proposal strategy
  • Leads capture efforts to secure new contracts or task order business
  • Works extensively with assigned Business Unit (BU) Director or the designated representative
  • Interfaces with senior management concerning pursuit status, pricing, costs, scheduling and overall pursuit performance
  • Participates in trade shows, seminars, industry days and vendor open houses that support capture objectives
  • Assists in proposal development to include authoring major sections as the lead technical writer  
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Project Management, Contracts, or Proposal Development
    • Experience supporting Base Operations related capture efforts, including but not limited to facilities management, operations & maintenance, life support, supply chain management, procurement, and construction
    • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR)
    • Knowledge of US Government contracting, including contract types and procurement processes
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
    • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple on-going projects
    • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Applicants selected must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to Top Secret classified information with eligibility for SCI access preferred
    • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

  • Work environment is often stressful and detail oriented as it is a timeline driven department with set objectives and hard due dates
