Capacity Management Technical Consultant
Perspecta has an immediate need in our US Public Sector group for a Capacity Management Technical Consultant in Boise, ID.
  • Responsible for extracting and evaluating information contained within a variety of management systems/ tools and reporting data warehouses. Develop and administer the availability and capacity management plan for an environment to ensure that the capacity and availability of the business applications and infrastructure technology environment match the evolving demands of business needs in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Create and present the monthly performance, capacity and availability reports to all internal delivery and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and work with the appropriate team members to resolve missing data or data discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain the short-, medium- and long-term forecasts for service utilization and performance within an environment.
  • Own and manage knowledge sharing within a community (e.g. team, practice, or project). Ensure team members support knowledge sharing and re-use requirements of project.
  • Proactively encourage membership and contributions of others to professional community and coach others in area of expertise.
Qualifications
A Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study and 3+ years of professional experience; without a degree, 3 additional years of relevant professional experience (6+ years in total).
  • Working knowledge of HP tools (HP Service Manager, HP Asset Manager, HP Reporter, HP Operations Bridge Reporter, HP Operations Manager i).
  • 2+ years of experience using, building, configuring and designing.
Reporting solutions utilizing one or more of the following applications or technologies:
  • eBI, Informatica 9.5, SAP - Business Objects, Oracle DB, HP Vertica, CRDW, Qlikview.
  • IBM Datastage, IBM-Teradata, MS – SSRS, Cognos, Crystal Reports.
  • MS Access.
  • Any other equivalent ETL, DB, Reporting tools.
Certifications Preferred:
• ITIL V3 Foundation.
• Any DB Developer Certification (Oracle, MS SQL etc.)
• Product Specific Certifications (SAP-BO)
• Vendor or Industry accreditations.
Additional Education Preferred:
• Good Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts.
• Working knowledge of query writing (SQL Developer)
• Testing Methodologies, creation and execution of test scripts.
• Microsoft Office tools.
