Business Operations Specialist, Lead

Key Role:

Serve as the lead business operations professional in providing contract financial management services for multiple contracts and delivery orders in a client account. Work as part of a program management office with internal clients and business partner colleagues to resolve financial, contractual, and administrative issues. Maintain responsibility for analyzing financial management, including analyzing monthly and bi-monthly financial reports and cost-to-completes. Review, reconcile, and audit financial data, including labor, travel, and other direct costs (ODCs) for accuracy of cost and expenditures, perform analytical financial analyses per contract and program manager requirements, analyze trend financial data to manage and mitigate contractual risk by ensuring relevant contract terms and conditions, provide analysis on level of effort (LOE), funding and ceiling versus expenditures, and job profit, identify financial and contractual risks, and provide recommendations, as appropriate. Multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced changing environment and work collaboratively across internal and external teams.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with program, project, and contract financial management, including government contracting

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

-Experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and their effective use in a financial tracking, analysis, and reporting environment

-Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) rules and contract regulations

-Ability to discuss and resolve administrative and financial issues effectively within a team environment

-Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced changing environment

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree or 12+ years of experience with contract financial management in lieu of degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) rules and guidelines

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent organizational skills

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
