Position Overview:

Business Analyst will be responsible for working with internal and external customers to identify and develop the associated business requirements for project efforts. 

The Business Analyst/Tester will serve in supporting our client's end-user application refinement and end-user requirement collection, testing, and documentation functions of multiple client applications. The Business Analyst/Tester will support client application requirement documentation, and functionality development, and quality assurance/user testing.

Design and plan testing for a variety of web-based applications across multiple browsers, platforms and user functions.

Develop a detailed understanding of existing software systems to understand the user stories and business situations the system embodies.

Gather and document testing requirements by studying the detailed and high level user interactions with existing and new software systems.

Gather and document testing requirements from software requirements identified for the enhancement of a software systems.

Develop suites of automated test cases that enable consistent regression testing of components, services, interfaces and processes of a software system.

Develop, execute and document the results of user acceptance test plans and test cycles. Perform cross checking with the RTM to ensure that systems meet specifications.

 Work collaboratively toward testing within an Agile software lifecycle, including requirements, backlog, sprints and deployment.

 Research emerging technologies and prepare recommendations for solutions in the software testing Lifecyle. Tester should uild ample knowledge of testing tools and technologies.

Leads and coordinates User Acceptance Testing.

Works closely with Training Specialist to assist with the documentation of development of training materials; will function as a liaison between developer, Training Specialist, and user groups.

Report status of test plans, issue backlogs and issue resolution to stakeholders on a regular basis.

Understanding of coding and software development lifecycle is a plus.


U.S. Citizen

Must be able to obtain/maintain DOD Active Secret Clearance

Must be able to pass DEA Clearance

B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Emphasis in Criminal Justice Data Systems a plus.

An additional 3 years of experience in IT related field may be substituted for education requirements.

Valid U.S. Driver's License

Ability to evaluate and contribute to use cases and testing models

Strong ability to coordinate and lead meeting between work groups

Have experience with working within a law enforcement data environment to support end-users, IT working groups, and client leadership.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, exercise flexibility, and prioritize workload and deliverables within schedule constraints to deliver results.

Must be well organized and detail oriented and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

Ability to quickly learn new technologies, be highly collaborative, engaging, and professional.

Will possess strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas with a diverse group of people.

Basic understanding of the software development lifecyle,

Knowledge of different types of testing, testing automation, basic programming and testing best practices.
