ChenegaProfessional & Technical Services (CPTS) is seeking a Business Analyst to support the National Nuclear SecurityAdministration’s (NNSA) Clearance Action Tracking System (CATS) softwaredevelopment project. The Business Analyst will serve as a primarycustomer point of contact, will facilitate all internal processes, and willcoordinate product demonstrations, Sprint planning, and requirements analysis.

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Apply logic and critical thinking skills inthoroughly and accurately capturing business requirements so they can betranslated into functional and technical requirements.
  • Manage the extensive product backlog – ensuringaccuracy, relevancy, priority, and all other manners of tracking and reporting.
  • Take extensive notes during meetings.
  • Create technical and procedural documentationas needed.
  • Serve as Scrum Master and facilitate all Scrumceremonies.
  • Funnel communications to/from the customer andthe development team when questions arise.
  • Be functionally proficient with the CATSapplication and be able to lead demonstrations.
  • Be primary point of contact on the CATS teamfor incoming support issues – bug reporting, customer/user inquiries, datafixes, etc.
  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Minimumof 5 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology,Computer Science, Business Systems, or a relevant discipline. Additionalexperience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” Security Clearance.

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Knowledgeof the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), CMMI level 3 processes, andgeneral software development/management best practices.
  • Anunderstanding of modern web application development, including several of thefollowing technologies: MVC4, .NET, C#,Javascript/JQuery, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, Entity Framework, and Team FoundationServer.
  • Musthave strong attention to detail.
  • Effectiveverbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strongplanning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstratedinitiative and ability to work independently.
  • Stronginterpersonal skills that foster the ability to work effectively on teams.
  • Strongaptitude for critical thinking.
  • Abilityto work well under pressure.
  • Canperform data analysis using Excel, SQL, and similar tools.
  • Proficientwith common Microsoft Office products

  • Theemployee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment,with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • Duringvisits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weatherconditions. Is occasionally exposed tofumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
