AutoCAD Engineer - US Citizenship required

Job Description

Responsibilities / Expectations: - The duties of this position are as follows: To support a project team with the creation and maintenance of engineering design and as-built drawings, resulting from multiple project-level design and implementation efforts. Drawing packages include Floor Plan, Elevation, Flow, and Detail drawings. Computer skills needed to perform these duties include knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office applications.

The candidate will work as part of a multi discipline team towards successful completion of multiple short term deliverables on a weekly schedule. The candidate will be expected to:

  • Prepare moderately complex drawings and designs using Revit software, from verbal instructions, markups, rough or detailed sketches, layouts, and/or notes from technical publications
  • Follow established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assist in design drafting
  • Confer with engineering and technical personnel
  • Review drawings for consistency and accuracy
  • Incorporate redline markups of technical data, designs, or preliminary specifications
Education

Requires Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience.

Additional experience can be substituted for educational requirements.

Requires working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

Requires knowledge of drafting standards, mathematics, and engineering technology.

Drafting Certifications (Desired)

Qualifications

GDIT requires a Bachelors degree with at least two years of experience.

Applicant must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain and retain a DHS Suitability Determination/EOD (Entry on Duty)
