Responsibilities

The Advanced Test Reactor Complex (ATR) Design EngineeringDepartment is seeking qualified candidates for Electrical Engineer. In thisrole, you will serve as a Team Lead and Lead Engineer on several significantprojects. The essential duties for this role include:


Closely coordinate with the assigned System Engineer onsystem modifications


Direct technical projects that may involve multidisciplinaryactivities. Perform complex assignments with little or no precedence whileutilizing engineering knowledge to provide solutions which are highly innovativeand ingenious


Perform technical and maintenance support for all types ofmotors, circuit breakers and relays used for different operations of the plant


Independently inspect, select, and implement differenttechniques and procedures under the conditions of design solution and safety


Represent the organization on projects/programs


Responsible for the design of modifications to the plant.Modifications may include new systems, system improvements, or replacement ofobsolete or unreliable equipment. Modifications are usually on a project basiswith design, construction, install, test, and turnover phases


Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) "L" Security Clearance

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience or Master's Degree and 3 years or PhD and 2 years

Preferred:

Professional Engineer License
