As a member of an integrated project team, you will developcomplete design and/or CAD models compatible with applicable codes, standards, costs,scopes, and schedule dimensions relating to the fabrication, installation,construction, or modification of nuclear facilities, structures, systems and/orcomponents (SSCs).

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Prepare computer generated drawings and drawing changesusing CAD Software in support of engineering activities consistent with companyand nationally-recognized standards

Provide drafting checking support for ATR Complex Engineeringand Nuclear Science and Technology (NS&T) experiment drawings. These includesmechanical, electrical, piping, and instruments drawings (P&IDs).

Checking of drawings of varying complexity to ensure fit,form, and function

Provide design guidance to ATR Engineering and relatedsupport organizations

Direct the work efforts of drafting personnel to achievecost-effective results. Train and mentor junior peers

Participate in the selection of nuclear components,specifications, and acceptance criteria to be communicated via associatedengineering documentation to support end use

Act as the Subject Matter Expert for ASME Y14.5 (dimensioning and tolerancing) and AWS A2.4 (welding)


Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) "L" Security Clearance

Associate's Degree in a related discipline and 10 years of related experience

Solid understanding of nationally-recognized standards (e.g. ANSI, ASME, MIL-STD, IEEE, etc.)

Experience using AutoCAD (2014 version or later), Inventor, and SOLIDWORKS

Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 (dimensioning and tolerancing) and AWS A2.4 (welding)

Must have an overall understanding of various drawing types (e.g. mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, structural, civil, etc.). Mechanical and piping disciplines are highly preferred
